I've committed to be a supporter of Harvest for Hunger.
What is a Hunger Warrior you ask? Hunger Warrior is the term we coined here at ComDoc when we started our now annual tradition of "going hungry for hunger" to help raise money for the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank.
The Akron Canton Regional Foodbank supports eight counties in Ohio to include Summit and Stark. Almost 20 million pounds of food were distributed in just these two counties alone in 2017! wow, right!?
Every year the foodbank launches their Harvest for Hunger Campaign that runs February through April. Some folks at ComDoc support this cause by participating in a fast and asking for pledges so that we can raise money to fight hunger. The fooodbank is able to turn $1.00 into 4 meals.
Every year our hunger warrior team has grown and this year our goal is to raise $30,000 and that will help provide 120,000 meals.
PS- ComDoc is providing support by allowing us to raffle off a Xerox desktop color MFP model 6655. Retail value of approximately $2,000. Every person that sponsors/pledges at least $40 (1.00 per hour) will receive a raffle ticket and another raffle ticket for every other dollar per hour. This printer is the real deal and not comparable to the junk ink jets you would see at retail stores. So if you join the Hunger Warrior team you will receive a cool Hunger Warrior T-shirt and raffle tickets to hand out to sponsors and an amazing sense of goodwill and accomplishment.
